William has cerebral palsy, lives in a UCP Community Living Arrangement, and attends the Adult Development Program at UCP. William is in his early thirties and has been involved with UCP since 1998. He is a longtime Cowboys’ fan who recently saved his money and took a trip to Dallas. UCP Residential staff found a vacation package that included airfare, hotel, and tickets to the game and William asked UCP staff person Saretta if she would accompany him. The accommodations, transportation, and stadium were all accessible . Beyond seeing the Cowboys take on the Philadelphia Eagles, William and Saretta were able to meet Cowboys’ Safety Roy Williams. According to William, going to Dallas was the “best time I ever had.”
