On Wednesday,  June 29^th the class of 2011 graduated from the UCP Best Friends program surrounded by family, friends, teachers and UCP staff members.

Jodi Miscannon, Director of Child Services at UCP started the program by recognizing the teachers who have worked so hard the past year, then called each graduate up one by one to receive their certificates.   The graduates also sang several songs and put on dance routines, led by teach Ginger McHugh and music teacher Linda Regan of Crescendo Music Program.  The Graduation Ceremony ended with a slide show, featuring pictures of the graduates throughout the year learning and playing together while the song "firework" played by Katy Perry.

UCP Best Friends graduates are typically developing children and children with disabilities who have been in the classroom learning together, side-by-side.  In addition to a nurturing early childhood foundation, they have experienced the importance of understanding, tolerance and respect for each other.
