Montrell & Al

Montrell has worked at Super Fresh in Chestnut Hill for close to 15 years. Prior to that, he worked in UCP's Contract Shop doing order fulfillment work. With support and assistance from Al, a member of UCP's employment service team, Montrell found a job in the community. Montrell, who has a developmental disability, began as a utility clerk at Super Fresh, where his duties were returning unwanted items to the shelves and collecting carts. At that time, Al went onsite to help Montrell learn his job and provide support as he got used to his new work environment. Since being hired, Montrell has become a grocery clerk where he stocks shelves and helps customers find items in the store. On more than one occasion, he has been named the Employee of the Month
