It was a great day of basketball when the area's best high school seniors (boys and girls) showed their talents in two "city vs. suburbs" basketball games at the 23rd annual All Star Labor Classic sponsored by Philadelphia's Organized Labor. This year the event raised over $127,000.

The All Stars represented the best players in public, private and parochial schools in Philadelphia, Bucks, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware counties. They played two very competitive games. In both games, it all came down to one last shot, with the Boys and Girls Suburban Teams out scoring the City. Final scores were Suburban Girls 83 to 82 over the City; Suburban Boys 146 to 144 over the City. The event was held at La Salle University's Tom Gola Arena in Philadelphia.
