PLEASE NOTE: There is an ongoing PennDOT street and utility reconstruction project on Germantown Avenue. If traveling north on Germantown Avenue through Mt. Airy to Chestnut Hill, portions of Germantown Avenue will be closed. Drivers will encounter a detour and passengers on Septa's Route 23 bus will transfer to a shuttle bus at Westview Street.

By Car:

From Pennsylvania Turnpike (traveling east):

Take Exit 333 (Norristown) to Route 422 EAST (also known as Germantown Pike) towards Philadelphia. Germantown Pike becomes Germantown Avenue. Continue for approximately 6.5 miles through the Chestnut Hill Shopping District. Turn left onto Mermaid Lane. This is a small intersection without a light.

NOTE: YOU WILL KNOW YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR ON GERMANTOWN AVENUE IF YOU SEE A TRAIN OVERPASS AT CRESHEIM VALLEY ROAD. THERE IS A TRAFFIC LIGHT AT THIS INTERSECTION.

Once you have made the left turn, the Mermaid Inn is on your right. UCP is on the right side of the road, approximately three driveways up the block. Pull into the driveway. The parking lot is on the right.

NOTE: YOU WILL KNOW YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR ON MERMAID LANE IF YOU GO UNDER A TRAIN OVERPASS.

From Center City:

Take the Schuykill Expressway (76 WEST) to the Lincoln Drive Exit. Turn left at the end of the exit ramp. Follow the sign for Lincoln Drive and continue until you come to the intersection of Lincoln Drive and Emlen St. Turn left onto Emlen Street and go through two lights. Emlen becomes Cresheim Valley. At the third light you will be at the corner of Cresheim Valley and Germantown Avenue. Turn left onto Germantown Avenue and bear right at the IMMEDIATE fork in the road, which is Winston Road. Turn right onto Mermaid Lane at the first stop sign. United Cerebral Palsy is on the right side of the road, approximately three driveways up the block. Pull into the driveway. The parking lot is on the right.

From Pennsylvania Route 476 (Blue Route):

Take Exit 19 (Norristown / Germantown Pike East) bear right off exit ramp onto Germantown Pike EAST. Germantown Pike becomes Germantown Avenue. Continue for approximately 6.5 miles through the Chestnut Hill Shopping District. Turn left onto Mermaid Lane. This is a small intersection without a light.

NOTE: YOU WILL KNOW YOU HAVE GONE TOO FAR DOWN GERMANTOWN PIKE IF YOU GO UNDER A TRAIN OVERPASS AT CRESHEIM VALLEY ROAD.

By Bus or Train:

UCP is conveniently located near public transportation. Septa's Route 23 bus and Regional Rail trains R7 and R8 are within easy walking distance. Taking public transportation? Plan you trip on Septa.
