Dana is an upbeat young woman in her early thirties who lives in a UCP community living arrangement. Her spina bifida requires that she use a wheelchair for mobility. In addition to residential services, Dana participates in adult day programs at United Cerebral Palsy. In the Contract Shop, Dana works on a variety of projects for area businesses, including packaging, assembly work, and first class and bulk mailings. Outside of work, Dana is a member of UCP's Recreation Program, where she often signs up for arts & crafts, attends Friday night socials, and is a member of the C.T. Mitchell Bowling League. For Dana, her friends and the staff are what she likes most about UCP. Whenever she has a problem or concern, she can always find someone to help. Whether at home, at work, or participating in Recreation, she never feels unsupported. "UCP is like one big happy family, where everyone supports each other."
